Masaru is characterised as rambunctious, observant and unorthodox, with a hint of a jokester in his personality, and so he always tends to make jokes whenever he feels awkward. Often deemed to be a silly person when he could be serious at some time. Often dubbed as a weirdo by his classmates due of his eccentric talking to himself and always talked to some kind of invisible person in his mind, provoking the children his age to steer clear of him because he seemed to be a weirdo because of it.
Another of Masaru's prominent trait was his desire to create bonds with the people he had, or will encounter thankfully his personality enabled him to made it easier for Masaru to make friends.

⦿Father's Kunai⦿ A keepsake given by his father, before Masaru's parents went missing during one of their missions for the Hokage, rendering Masaru an orphan. There is a unknown seal imprinted by his father that so, he will discover the clue behind it and to go look for them himself if anything had happened to them. Side note; Masaru would never use this kunai otherwise he would risk losing it.

Kurama—He was the first and foremost friend Masaru ever had befriended due of it was sealed inside him, making him the Jinchuuriki of the Kurama. His voice often can be heard inside his head, provoking Masaru to talk to him as if it was a second voice, a part of his overactive imagination due of lack of friends in reality when he didn't know that he was actually talking to Kurama this whole time!
